I think it’s just your computer, sorry! Try playing it and pausing it right away to let it load and then play it a few minutes later
the fact that Nick isn’t credited with vocals is weird, but I feel like he was probably like “just don’t worry about it, you don’t need to put credit cause it’s not a big deal”
But like, he obviously sings on it. I feel like to him, it was just nice to get to sing with her and help her and he didn’t really even want to get credit/payment for it
But there is only one other song credited with background vocals or any vocals at all. Like all that info is about the production. Even on HWGA Demi herself was credited under vocals

i know Nick's voice and i'm pretty sure i can hear him in the background of 'Without the Love' like in 'Stop the World'. he wasn't thanked in that album either. also, i think the line 'and you try to take me home like you're DiMaggio' could be related to the jonas brothers because DiMaggio is a baseball player and the jonas brothers are known as 'the DiMaggio brothers' when they play baseball.

Yeah, now that you say that I can kind of hear a male voice in Without The Love, but it might just be my brain tricking me. I’ll mess around with the audio levels and see if I can get the background vocals (:
