a question from my ask
“do you think nick and demi were ever together and we just didn’t know it?”
I think if Cody Linley hadn’t of happened (and by happened, I mean if he and Demi hadn’t of dated) then Demi and Nick would have gotten together. Simply because I think Nick had a crush on her then. I mean, let’s look at the facts:
- 15 year old boy meets pretty, funny and bubbly fifteen year old girl
- they befriend
- 15 year old girl opens up about her life and her issues to 15 year old boy
- 15 year old boy is not only attracted to her but now he’s sympathetic towards her and wants to help her
- it’s basically the typical damsel in distress scenario where he wants to save her from her demons
- then comes along Miley Cyrus
I have a theory that Miley was so suddenly into Nick and she saw that he was into Demi so she set Demi and Cody up so Nick wouldn’t go for her. I’m like 90% sure this is what happened but of course I’ll never know.
Anyways
- Fast forward
- 15 year old kids are now about 17/18
- Girl decides she likes boys brother
- Boy, still slightly smitten with girl, backs off because girl is really into his brother and does something about it
- Then fast forward again
- Girl and boy’s brother are now broken up
- Girl is heart broken
- Girl’s issues start to worsen (from simply cutting and eating disorder to drug and alcohol abuse. not that Joe started that - I think she really put herself around the wrong kind of people and I think that would have happened inevitably)
- Boy sees that damsel fall into more distress and his urge to save her grows stronger
- But essentially his efforts to help her fail because her issues are too strong for him to fix
So yeah. If it wasn’t for Cody I think they would have dated in ‘08 and if it wasn’t for Joe, I think there would have been a lot more between them in ‘10.
