It starts on the set of Camp Rock 2. They’re all staying in the hotel in Toronto, about an hour from set, and Demi spends most of her time Nick in her room, watching movies and just talking. One night, she and Nick are just whispering quietly together on the bed, everything is casual. He’s got his arms propped up behind his head, showing off his biceps, and she’s braiding a piece of hair nonchalantly when she looks up and he just leans down and kisses her all of the sudden.
“Sorry…” He says, quickly looking away. “Uhm…” He clears his throat a bit and Demi just laughs.
“Don’t be so nervous.” She pulls his face back towards hers and kisses him again, feeling him smile as she does.
“Are you serious?” He raises his eyebrows, a little weirded out that he’s kissing his best friend. Like really, what the hell are they doing? But it’s also kind of awesome so he really shouldn’t be complaining.
She laughs again and shakes her head. “Shut up and kiss me.” And before he knows it, he and Demi are kind of a thing around set. Which is weird cause he always figured she’d be with Joe, but it’s whatever. Everyone knows they’re together, Nick’a dad even catches them making out backstage one day. That was kind of the worst, but Demi thought it was hilarious.
They stay on their separate buses on the road, but if she’s not in his hotel room then he’s in hers. If they’re on a plane, they’ll sit next to each other sometimes but she likes to sit with the dancers a lot, too. They still take separate cars, he rides with his brothers and he goes by herself. No one outside of your expects anything, it’s all very behind closed doors what they’re doing. No way anyone on the tour would tell either. Most of them think it’s just a fling anyways, and it kind of is, but Nick tries not to think about it like that.
Especially once they start having sex.
The first time they do it, it’s kind of the best night of his lip. And it only gets better after that.
Nick Jonas catches a glance at Demi Lovato at the premiere of Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam but quickly looks away, embarrassed and knowing that the cameras are watching.
