“Power’s out.” Nicks says with a sigh as he walks into their room. Demi’s sitting in one of the arm chairs in front of the fire that he made earlier and in the glow, she looks more beautiful that ever. She frowns and looks up at him as he walks over to her. They were just sitting and talking in their room when the lights when out and then the dogs started barking and panicing so Nick went to the basement to check the breaker. But the whole street’s out due to the weather, so it was no use.
“We’re gonna be freezing if it doesn’t turn back on.”
“Well you’re also wearing only a tank top and yoga pants.”
“But don’t I look hot?” She says teasingly and he laughs, nodding.
“You always look hot.” He smirks softly and then walks over to the bed, grabbing one of their blankets and brining it back over. He sits on the floor and she joins him, crawling into his lap as he wraps the blanket around them. He rubs her arms and kisses the top of her head as she shivers, getting adjusted to the new warmth that surrounds her.
“I wouldn’t mind staying like this all night…” Demi says with a sigh, closing her eyes and nuzzling into his chest. He smiles, leaning back against the chair behind him and, too, closes his eyes to rest for a moment.
“It’s nice… I’m kind of glad the power’s out. Now I have a better excuse to be close to you.”
“You never need an excuse.” She laughs lightly.
“I know, but it’s nice to have one anyways.” He chuckles and leans down to kiss her gently as she smiles up at him.
“You’re a dork.” She shakes her head.
“I may be, but at least I’m a dork who’s keeping you warm and heated.”
“I feel like there’s a sex joke in there.” She laughs and Nick just smirks.
“There is, trust me.”

Pairing: Nick Jonas/Demi Lovato
Summery: Nick and Demi join his family in Texas for Thanksgiving
Author’s Note: Kind of AU, but it could happen so it’s not 100% AU. It’s still them but it’s them today specifically and also married, so that makes it AU. It also kind of goes along with the AU Meme photoset I posted earlier
Title: Please Don’t Leave Quite Yet
Word Count: 2,208
Paring: Nick Jonas/Demi Lovato
Summary: Nick finds himself saying goodbye to Demi and realizes that letting go of her is the hardest challenge he’s ever faced.
Author’s Note: This is not a happy story.

Demi lets out a light squeal as he runs up behind her, almost making her drop the ball in her hands as he wraps his strong arms around her, laughing and kissing her cheek. “Don’t drop it,” He whispers playfully.
“If you keep doing that, I will and then I’ll break my toe!” She laughs, trying to balance the ball now as she turns to his smiling face. He chuckles, kissing her lips gently and squeezing her sides to make her laugh again. “Nick!”
“If you break your toe, I’ll take care of you until it’s better.” He smiles and she raises her eyebrows.
“Yeah? Are you gonna preform my shows, too? I’d like to see you singing Who’s That Boy.” She laughs.
He just smirks. “Hey, you don’t even sing that anymore. It’s all about Who’s That Girl.” He tickles her sides again and she giggles, still holding the bowling ball tightly as she squirms, hardly able to move in his firm grip.
“I can’t help that girls are in love with me. Sorry I’m so sexy.” She smirks and he just shakes his head at her.
“You’re full of it sometimes, Lovato, you know that?” He says with a chuckle, holding her even closer to her body now.
She laughs. “Hey, I’ve earned it!”
“Damn right you have.” He says quietly, placing a kiss on her neck and tugging at her shirt gently. “I like your bra by the way.”
She smirks, leaning her head back gently. “The underwear matches.”
“Oh really?” He chuckles and his hands travel down, rubbing the skin just below her shorts gently.
“Can I bowl now? This thing is getting heavy.” She laughs lightly and he sighs.
“Right when I was getting warmed up.” He shakes his head and chuckles, kissing her cheek again as he straightens up and holds his arms out, placing his hands underneath hers to help her support the ball.
“Yeah, it’s not like we’re in a public place.” She smirks at him.
“With no one here. ” He says lowly with a smirk, and she can hear the hint in his voice as he steps closer to him.
“You wish.” She laughs.
“Damn straight I do.” She looks up to see him lick his lips eagerly and she just shakes her head.
“If my arms weren’t occupied right now I would hit you.” She says with a smile.
“In the kinky way, right?” He raises his eyebrows and she laughs loudly.
“No!”
He laughs heartily and smirks. “Well we could if you wanted. That’s the bonus that comes with showing at 2am, babe. Plus you know, connections help. Cause this places closes at midnight.” He smiles proudly.
“We only got here at 2am because you insisted on staying at the studio for so long.” She rolls her eyes playfully.
“Hey, you could have gone home. But then you wouldn’t get to come bowl after hours.” He smirks.
“As if bowling was my incentive to stay. And you know, with you attacking me every time I pick up a ball, I haven’t done much bowling.” She laughs.
He chuckles and kisses her cheek once more. “So what was your incentive, then?” He asks, though he already knows the answer.
She just smiles and presses their foreheads together, kissing him slowly for a moment before she speaks. “I stayed because I love you.”
He sighs happily, unable to hold back the grin that’s taking over his entire face now. “I love you, too.”
She smiles, trying not to laugh with the pure happiness that always takes over whenever he says that. “Now can I bowl?”
Quick Nemi drabble based off of what Nick said on The X Factor USA
“Sometimes the best thing to do is to sleep on it.” Nick says, shrugging slightly and silently telling her that that’s all they can do for now.
She sighs softly and just nods, tapping her fingers on the table nervously. She looks back down at the six pictures and bites her lip, her stomach getting all twisted from the nerves of deciding the fate of these people. It’s terrifying to be in this position because if she was a contestant, being sent home would kill her. So having to do that to someone else…
Once they decide and the camera crew starts to pack up, she doesn’t even get up. She runs her hands through her hair and leans back on the chair. She looks over at Nick, who’s just smiling at her and then he laughs.
“What?” She asks, laughing too now.
He shakes his head, smiling again at her and leaning his head back too. “Nothing… I just had fun today. I’m really glad you invited me.”
She smiles and nods. “Any time, Jonas.” He laughs again and shakes his head.
“You did great today, by the way. You were awesome.”
She shakes her head. “It’s still so hard. I thought I’d be used to this by now… But it’s hard.” She sighs.
Nick reaches out now, putting his hand on her knee. “Hey, you were still great. I think you’re doing well.”
She smiles at him. “Thanks. And thanks for the help. I’m glad I didn’t have to pick out who to send home by myself.”
“No problem, Dems.” They smile at each other and then she closes her eyes, tired from the day and ready to get into sweats and go to sleep. She realizes that his hand is still on her knee, but it doesn’t bother her. His fingers are just casually stroking her skin and even though they’re rough and calloused from the years of guitar playing, she likes them. They’re comfortable and familiar to her.
A moment later and his hand is gone. She looks up, trying not to frown or show that she’d rather him put it back. The camera crew has left now and it’s just the two of them in the silent dimly lit room. She wonders why it is so poorly lit, but then she supposes it’s to make it seem more intimate or something. Seems to her like they need some candles for ambience but whatever.
“So you have to make the final decision in the morning to the producers?” He asks softly and she nods.
“Yup. Bright and early.”
“Sleep will do you good, then.” He smiles, starting to stand up. He holds his hand out she she takes it, allowing him to help her up. When she stands, he pulls her kind of close. Her shoes are off so for the first time all day she’s shorter than him and he kind of laces their fingers together for a second and smiles at her in this cute and innocent yet really, really sexy way which she can’t really understand but hey, it works for him. But then he lets go of her hand and even though neither of them step away from each other, she feels like she’s further away from him now. Which again, she can’t understand.
And then she smiles at him, and he smiles, too. And it takes about two seconds for her to realize that he’s placing his hand on her lower back and two more seconds to take notice that he’s pulling her in close to him and before she knows it, they’re kissing. And not in that soft, weird, first kiss way. They’re legitimately kissing one another with the kind of passion that you can only read about because you don’t think it actually exists. But it does and it’s happening and Demi’s pretty sure she might just melt right there in his arms and maybe he senses this because he wraps his other arm around her and pulls her closer, holding her tighter against him.
She reaches her hand up around his neck, pulling him down a bit so she can deepen the kiss, not even realizing how intense it already is until finally, after what seems like a good fifteen minutes, they pull away.
She bites her lip gently, their faces still only inches from each other, and she’s glad that his breath has quickened too and it’s not just her who felt the intensity they just shared.
“Come sleep on it with me?” She asks quietly and he laughs, pressing their foreheads together and giving her another kiss quickly.
“I would love to.”
“Where you going?” Joe asks, looking up as the chat ends and the screen in front of them turns black. Nick has gotten up and pulled out his phone, seemingly on a mission as he makes his way to the doors on the other side of the room that lead to the rooftop terrace.
Kevin, too, looks up but instead of the confused look that Joe has, his expression is more knowing and somewhat, for a moment, Nick sees a slight hint of… resentment, maybe? Or is it pity? Does his own brother pity him for this, still? Even after all these years? “Calling Demi?” He asks with a slight raise of his eyebrows.
Nick bites his lip gently and shrugs. “It’s her birthday.” And before either of them can say anything else, he walks out into the hot New York air as closes the door behind him. He waits a minute, scrolling through a couple different apps before he finally presses down on his phone. She’s in his recent call list so it doesn’t take him long to find her name. For some reason he’s nervous. He’s always been nervous around her, but he’s more anxious than usual right now. He’s never really been good with phone calls… Maybe that’s it. Maybe…
Riiiiiiing. Riiiiiiiing. Riiiiiiiiiiiiing.
Several more times he hears the same tone before an automatic voice clicks on, informing him of the number that he’s reached and that the owner is not available. She’s never had a customized voice mail, none of them have. It’s just one extra precaution in case a fan gets a hold on their numbers. That way they won’t ever be 100% sure that it’s them.
He was hoping she would have picked up, as nervous as he was, but he knows she’s probably really busy with just being Demi Lovato. She’ll call back though, that much he knows. They’ve been talking a lot recently, kind of rekindling… If that’s the right word. That kind of implies romance and they’re not like, dating or in love or anything. They’re just becoming best friends again. Which he’s missed. He’s really, really missed being her best friend.
He hears a loud beep and he leans against the side of the building, looking out at his favorite city. “Hey, Dems,” He says with a smile on his face. “Just got finished with a live chat… I was gonna call you earlier but I got kinda hung up. The day’s been kinda crazy. Uh, anyways, I wanted to say happy birthday cause that’s what you do when it’s someone’s birthday, especially you’re best friend. And don’t worry, I did get you a present,” He laughs a bit, remembering how excited she would get on her birthday when he gave her his gift, always something separate from whatever he and his brothers got her together.
“But I want to give it to you in person, cause then it’ll be even more awesome and I deserve credit for such an amazing gift.” He smirks and then laughs again, really feeling himself missing her. It’s only been a month since he’s seen her last, but it seems like forever. “Anyways, call me when you get this. I hope your birthday is the best. I love you.”
He clicks ‘end’ on his phone before he shoves it back in his pocket, not even realizing just how wide his smile is even as he walks back inside.

Neither one of them were in a very good mood that day - Demi had to catch a flight back to LA later that night and Nick was mad because this time, she had only been in town for one day and he hardly got to see her at all anymore. So the one day would have been great, except for half her morning was spent with a photoshoot. And now Nick was trying to hail a cab so they wouldn’t have to walk back to his place cause Demi was in heels and it dammit was hot and frankly he didn’t want any more paparazzi pictures but, having the bad luck that he could never get rid of, the drivers just were not agreeing with him today. And yeah, they kind of never agreed with him, but it would have be nice if they did on the day that he has his girlfriend - who let’s face it, even when she’s mad she’s hot as hell - with him so he didn’t look like a totally incompetent ass.
Needless to say, he looked like a totally incompetent ass.
“It’s OK,” Demi said, exhaling slowly. “We’ll just walk.”
“Are you sure?” He looked down at her, frowning. He really didn’t want her to have to walk. It was kind of a long way. And her heels were at least five inches.
“Yeah,” She nodded, turning and letting go of his waist as she stepped back onto the sidewalk.
Nick sighed, following her and taking her hand as they started to walk. He kissed her temple gently. “You never said when you’ll be back.”
She was quiet for a moment and he looked at her; she wasn’t frowning exactly, but she wasn’t smiling either. She was just blank. And the sunglasses didn’t help in reading what she was feeling. “That’s cause I don’t know.”
He just nodded, biting his lip. “I figured.” He looked around the crowd for a minute. Part of the reason he liked New York so much was the fact that there were just so many people that sometimes he could just go for a walk without getting recognized. It was like his own little escape without really being an escape, if that made sense.
“I told you now wasn’t a good time.” She said so quietly he almost didn’t hear her. But of course he did and his heart aches just a little bit.
“Don’t say that, Dems.” He squeezed her hand in his instinctively, like he was trying to hold onto her as she fell away from him. And she was, kind of. He could feel it. He could feel her slipping away.
They stop at a cross walk and neither of them speak until they make their way onto the next block. “I’m just too busy right now.”
“Yeah and I’m not. It’s not like we both have these crazy insane schedules.”
“Well you’re about to.” She tossed her coffee into a nearby trashcan, leaning into him a little more now that she doesn’t have to worry about spilling it all over herself. “You’re writing, recording. You’ll be on tour soon.”
“Not for months, babe. Probably not until after Christmas. That gives us loads of time.”
She made a soft noise and he could tell she was tired so he wrapped his arm around her for the rest of the way. “Do you wanna go out to dinner tonight?”
She shook her head. “No. Can we just order pizza or something? I don’t want to get dressed up and then have to come back and change before my flight.”
“Pizza and sweatpants it is.” He smiled softly and kissed her forehead. “We can spend the whole night in.”
“Can we snuggle?” She said in a muffled voice as she buried her face in his neck. Despite the heat, she embraced his warmth, just wanting to be close to him. At the end of the day, that’s all she wanted. He was all she wanted.
Nick laughed and nodded, turning the corner. “Of course. We can do whatever you want.”
“Watch Ancient Aliens?” She asked hopefully, lifting her head only so that she could see where they were going.
“Of course. We’ll have a marathon.”
“Yes!” She laughed for probably the first time all day. As usual, Nick laughed along with her, unable to help himself.
“You know,” He said, smiling down at her. “I don’t care if I only get to see you once a week or every two weeks. All I care about is the fact that you’re mine.”
She beamed up at him, feeling butterflies in her stomach. “You’re something else, Jonas, you know that?”
is an AU college kids fic where Nick is a stoner who falls in love with Demi and I swear it’s the most perfect thing I’ve ever read
She sometimes gets in these moods, like where she’ll be laughing and be her normal happy self one minute, but then either be screaming or crying the next. He’s told it’s just apart of who she is, which the medication and her natural tendency to not want to take it. They call it a symptom, a side effect; something beyond their control. And maybe it’s because he isn’t a doctor or because he met her when they were still young enough to not care, but Nick doesn’t see all that. He just sees his girlfriend with her perfect smile and her shining brown eyes and her passion for music. Not to mention her incredible voice that, let’s be honest, just makes him want to melt every time he hears her sing. He not concerned with her “illness” or whatever people want to call it. He doesn’t care that she has scars, doesn’t care that she can be manic. He just cares about her, Demi. And the fact that she makes him the happiest he’s ever been. That’s all that matters, really. The rest of it is just an added bonus.
Title: Olive & An Arrow

Pairing: Nick Jonas/Demi Lovato
Word Count: 1,187
Summary: Demi’s getting married to her long time boyfriend, who has no idea that she’s been getting some extra on the side from none other than Nick Jonas. And their relationship is more than just physical. Will she go through with the wedding and keep her love, suffering as he watches her live her happy life while knowing that it could be him? Author’s Note: This is slightly smutty and there’s actually another pairing that you find out in the last bit of this first part. Also, this isn’t long by any means. Most “chapters” will probably be around 2,000 words so just don’t expect a lot. Also, I really like reviews and you can leave them either on JBFFA or on this tumblr. Read here on JBFFA
