“What are you looking at?” Nick asks as he walks over to her, sipping his coffee and leaning against the balcony next to her.
She shrugs, scrolling through her phone for another minute before she locks up and looks up at him. “You know what’s weird? People still want me and Joe to be together.”
He raises his eyebrows and laughs a bit. “Seriously?”
She nods, unable to hold back a smile. “Yeah, it’s really stupid.”
“Awe, come on. I thought Jemi was in love.” He smirks teasingly, pulling her in by her waist once he’s set his coffee down.
Demi laughs and shakes her head. “Shut up.” She bats at his chest playfully before wrapping her arms around his neck and smiling up at him.
“People are stupid. They’ll get over it.” He pecks her lips gently.
“Cause Nemi’s in love, right?” She grins and he laughs, nodding.
“Exactly.” He kisses her again, a little deeper this time, and she smiles against his lips.
“I was gonna be really sad if you had said no.” She giggles softly.
“Please. I can’t not love you.” He smiles.
“Good. The feelings mutual.” She sighs and leans up, kissing him again and feeling his arms tighten around her, keeping her close as always.
